Our founder had the idea that craft beer is first and foremost exceptionally high quality, and that the company culture of great craft beer should reflect that.

Scott was born and raised in Indiana. Between studying Engineering at Trine University and earning an MBA from Notre Dame, Indiana is home for him. The name Chapman’s honors John Chapman (Johnny Appleseed), and placing the brewery in the beautiful lakes region of Steuben County was a part of the plan to bring the best beer to the Midwest.

When he isn't promoting who we are or raising capital for us to expand, he's working for a truly impressive company out of New York that acquired the software company he co-founded. He'll send us pictures of the beers he tries from around the country, always with a note stating, "this isn't as good as Englishman.”

Married for over 18 years “to a fundamentally better person than I am" and raising two boys, Scott also stays busy with Dulcius Vineyards, the Fergusson family’s vineyard in Noble County.

Jerod is our head brewer, born and raised in northeastern Indiana.  He is truly the heart and soul of Chapman's beer, developing and refining our recipes to their current state of excellence.

Jerod recognizes the art and the science of brewing, and he started his career as a cellarman for Granite City Brewery. He grew to manage one of the chain's most popular locations.

Married to a gifted graphic artist, Jerod and his wife are expecting their first child outside of their black lab, Lucy, who is the unofficial Chapman's mascot.

Fundamentally a creative artist, Jerod also is a master woodworker. He created the flite paddles and the custom wood ceiling in the taproom.

Casey Dazey is our assistant brewer, reporting to Jerod. Casey is a Central Noble High School graduate and has his Bachelor’s from St. Francis.

Recently married to Jeanna, Casey has a real love of music, playing for his Church’s worship band, but his range of interests goes deeply into the arts – he’s into film and sculpture for starters, an accomplished cook with a grilling specialty as well as being an avid outdoorsman.

Meet Zach, Zach is our Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Chapman’s Brewing and came to us, believe it or not, from the lawn care industry. Zach has spent the last 12 years of his life in sales and is a seasoned vet when it comes to customer satisfaction and management. 

Zach was born and raised in Indianapolis and moved to Fort Wayne in 2000. Zach is an avid golfer and when he’s not in bars and restaurants with our customers you can probably find him on a golf course somewhere or in a simulator when it’s too cold. 

Zach is a self-proclaimed Hophead and although his first beer was an Ice House, he has been into craft beer for the last 8 years. He says he will try any beer at least once and is pretty satisfied with his nearly 4000 individual check-ins on Untapped. When he goes on vacation, you won’t see Zach at the beach, you’ll see him in the local brewery with a flight board in front of him.
